Justin Thomas ‘sick to his stomach’ over Tiger Woods car crash
Justin Thomas says he is ‘sick to his stomach’ after Tiger Woods was hospitalised following a car crash on Tuesday.
The 45-year-old has suffered multiple leg injuries and has undergone surgery after his car rolled over in Los Angeles.
Woods’ car was heavily damaged from the crash and the former world No.1 was pulled from the wreckage by a fire crew using the jaws of life.
‘I’m sick to my stomach,’ Thomas said at a press conference when asked about Woods’ accident.
‘You know, it hurts to see one of your now closest friends get in an accident.
‘I just hope he’s all right. Just worry for his kids, you know. I’m sure they’re struggling.’
Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, has revealed that the 45-year-old suffered multiple leg injuries and has undergone surgery following the crash.
‘Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries,’ Steinberg said in a statement.
‘He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.’
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement: ‘The vehicle sustained major damage.
‘Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.’
