Woman shows pull tag hack to stop oil pouring out of the bottle too fast
When a recipe calls for a drizzle of oil, it’s hard to stop it gushing from the bottle, leaving your food coated in a little too much.
You could buy a fancy bottle with a pouring tip and decant a little into it – or you could try this hack using something already built into the bottles you buy at the store.
A TikToker, who posts as @aditya_basnet, showed how when she opens a new bottle, she removes the tiny plastic tag and then turns it upside down and puts it back in the bottle.
Most people throw it out but it turns out it’s quite useful.
It means that when pouring the oil, she can use the tab to control how much comes out in one go, without too much mess.
Aditya captioned the video: ‘Why do I learn everything on tiktok.’
The clip has had over 5.5m views and others were impressed.
One said: ‘TikTok is teaching us more stuff than school.’
Another added: ‘No way I always throw it away. Why don’t they have instructions.’
Though some people did warn to be careful when trying the hack as you could end getting the tab stuck inside the bottle.
‘I just tried this. pushed it down too hard and it went straight thru,’ one commented.
Another asked: ‘Am I the only one that pressed too hard and it fell in the bottle.’
It’s not the only TikTok hack that might be useful in the kitchen.
If you want to get ever last drop out of the sauce packet, you need to give this a go.
