‘I hoped children would never see it again’ – NI justice minister on Belfast violence

We spoke to Naomi Long of the Alliance Party, who is the minister of justice in the Northern Ireland Executive.

She believes a broad range of issues including Brexit, the pandemic, irresponsible crowds and criminal gangs are driving the violence seen on the streets of Belfast.
She called on community leaders, politicians and the police to prevent a summer of violence in Northern Ireland’s capital.
