Tucked away in a small, nondescript facility at Fort Knox lies a crucial operation in the US military supply chain — the AAFES Name Tape Plant. This factory manufactures nearly every name tag worn by service members across the US Armed Forces.
With just 17 employees, the plant produces up to 3,000 name tapes each day and as many as 60,000 a month for soldiers stationed around the world. Each tape passes through a meticulous manufacturing process that blends craftsmanship with industrial efficiency.
Business Insider visited the plant to see how these essential uniform elements are made and meet the skilled workers whose pride and precision help shape a symbol of identity worn by every US service member.

In August, the FDA recalled Walmart’s Great Value frozen shrimp in 13 states because it was potentially radioactive. The shellfish in question were farm-raised in Indonesia.
This isn’t the first time imported shrimp has reached the US with unhealthy banned chemicals. In February, the FDA turned away shipments from India because of illegal levels of antibiotics. But despite cases of tainted crustaceans, 90% of the shrimp Americans eat is imported. That’s because it’s so cheap. And that low price tag has driven the cost of American wild-caught shrimp down with it, hurting Louisiana fishermen who’ve spent decades catching it in the Gulf of Mexico.
So how does chemical-laced shrimp make it past the US border? And why did imported shrimp choke out wild-caught crustaceans to begin with?

Key Takeaways:
Paul Ryu Turned One Post into a Business: By creating and promoting a viral sushi burger, Ryu proved that content could drive real sales. That one campaign led to national media coverage and launched his agency.
Start Posting Before You Overthink It: Ryu values clean content but believes too many brands get stuck waiting for perfection. His approach is simple: create, post, learn, and keep moving.
Storytelling Builds Trust and Clients: From steakhouse reels to wedding chapel videos, Ryu helps brands uncover and share what makes them special. That authenticity keeps clients coming to him.
